It's near my work. They have one of those all you can eat buffets where they give you a container which you are to treat as a trough and stuff as much as you can inside, close, and go. Not bad for one of these places. Had your regular array of UK style Chinese food (ie. nothing at all like Chinese food) Lots of fried stuff, prawns, mushrooms, chicken with the appropriate hyper colour sauces. And not many veggies involved. The crispy seaweed was especially tasty - I had not had it before. tasked like deep fried essence of the sea.

Overall, not bad for a lunch stop when you are craving cheap Chinese.

I go to that restaurant once in a while for lunch, it is next to my work.

The atmosphere is not really good. It looks like a big cantine. Dont go there for a romantic dinner.

The service is good and really friendly.

The food is above average and simple and most things that you find in chinese restaurants.

Nevertheless it is really good value for money with £5.99 for a 3 course lunch or buffet (as much as you want), but not everyday.

Worth a try.

Until our recent experience I would have given them a 3.5/4 rating for take out. They are always fast, efficient on phone and delivery is always polite. The food last time however was not up to par, the won tons were soggy and the chow mein was oily and bit bland. All the food did was fill our tummies but it wasn't tasty enought and we won't be using them again.

I'm a regular of China Palace and would say the food is above average, with some dishes (beef black bean) really good.

Service is efficient and staff friendly. Would recommend for a home take away but not for a night out as atmosphere within restaurant pretty average.

Got a takeaway from there a few weeks back and can't recommend it enough. Delicious westernised Chinese food.

I went for a carry out last week... granted it was quick but the 1st piece of chicken (I think it was chicken) I put in my mouth was rancid and was spat out. When I phoned to complain I was met with the old I'm a foreigner card and I said I'd be back the next day with the meal intact. "OK" was the reply. I didn't bother - what was the point - they would probably heat it back up and give it to someone else! Definitely won't be going near this place again.

Really bad, poor chicken and the curry sauce had the texture/tasted like it was a powder and kettle. Not good I'm afraid.
